Centuriation ("we", "us", "our") operates an AI-powered learning platform that generates arcade-style educational games. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and (if you use email/password sign-up) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those providers.

Game data

We store your play history, scores, per-item responses, topic mastery levels, and identified misconceptions to track your learning progress.

Topics you enter

When you generate a game, the topic you provide is sent to Google Gemini AI to create game content. We store these topics as part of your game history.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Error reports

We use Sentry to capture application errors. When an error occurs, Sentry may collect browser information, the page URL, and the error stack trace to help us fix bugs.

How We Use Your Data

  • Process payments — via Stripe for paid subscriptions

Third-Party Services

Google OAuth

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. Google's privacy policy applies to data they collect during the sign-in process.

GitHub OAuth

If you sign in with GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. GitHub's privacy policy applies to data they collect during the sign-in process.

Google Gemini AI

Your topics are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate game content. We use the API in a way where your inputs are not used to train Google's models.

Stripe

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card numbers. We only store your subscription tier. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.

Sentry

Error tracking is provided by Sentry. When errors occur, technical data (stack traces, browser info, request context) is sent to Sentry for debugging purposes.

DigitalOcean

Our application and databases are hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure.

AI-Generated Content

The topics you enter are sent to Google Gemini to generate educational game content. These inputs are processed through Google's API and are not used to train their AI models. The generated content is stored as part of your game data.

Data Retention

Your account data and game history are kept for as long as your account exists. Game data (scores, mastery, misconceptions) is retained to provide ongoing progress tracking. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (a JSON Web Token) to keep you signed in. It expires when your session ends or after the configured session duration. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

Age Restriction

Centuriation is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account from your profile settings page. You can also request deletion by emailing us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems.
